Alex Platjouw is a visual artist from the Netherlands. I like to work on fictional portraits of women who share the same quality: they don't care what you think of them. They have an inner peace, but that peace can always be disturbed. I try to capture the beauty they contain. I work with pastels and digital. The drawings get a lot of depth because I work on them for a long time. I print the final drawing with quality dyes on structured paper. My dreams have come true since I can draw what I like to see myself. Drawings that you can drink a glass of wine with and relax in this crazy world.
